Both gothic style and punk style are a way to combat established
norms and incorporate a lifestyle into fashion. You can create both
styles on your own -- they are easy enough to do it yourself. But
there are elements of both styles that can be combined to create
some great looking combination gothic punk clothing.
Both gothic and punk clothing frequently incorporate the color
black into the clothing and some articles can be worn in both
styles. For instance, a pair of black fishnets works with a gothic
outfit just as well as it does with a punk one. The same is true for
leather pants, jagged-hem skirts, and studded belts.
Body piercings are common in both gothic and punk styles. The
rejection of certain aspects of social norms inspires lots of goths
and punks to get piercings. This is also the reason behind the
prevalence of hair dye in both subcultures. Shopping is made a lot
