Gothic clothes and the gothic look

Part of enjoying the gothic lifestyle is the clothing that goes
along with it. Gothic clothes are unique, fashionable, and
head-turning. In addition, gothic clothing can be found both in the
mall and online for your shopping convenience.
Goth style involves dark clothing in a variety of fabrics, such
as velvet, leather, and fishnet. Popular colors include black,
purple, red, and blue – normally dark hues.
Hot Topic
is one website and store that provides gothic clothing from the
mainstream to the more extreme tastes. You’ll find clothing for men
and women, articles like corsets, skirts, and screened tee shirts.
They sell a lot of punk-style clothing as well, as some people enjoy
both looks.
While we have contemporary ideas of what gothic looks like, for
some members of this subculture, clothing from the historical gothic
period is the way to go. It’s a more romantic look rather than a
rock and roll style. Check out
Good Goth for
examples.
You may also enjoy doctoring regular items of clothing into
gothic fashion. You can change the hem of a regular black skirt to
give it a more goth appearance, add lace overlay, or even sew your
own.
Part of the style is the accessories. Hair dye, dark makeup, and
jewelry all complete the gothic look. Hot Topic and
Painful Pleasures sell body
jewelry that will complement your style perfectly. What you wear is
a reflection of your personality – let your gothic jewelry and
clothes show the real you.
