Some facts about hand piercing

There are several different ways to get a hand piercing. While
the palm and fingers can hold a surface piercing, the webbing of the
hand accommodates jewelry as well. Though these aren’t dangerous
piercings, you’ll want to make sure your piercing is performed by an
artist who has a lot of experience in piercing hands.
Because we use our hands everyday, a lot of movement occurs. If
you’ve had other piercings done, you know that excessive movement
can hinder the healing process. The same goes with hand piercings.
You’ll want your piercing artist to have the skills to place your
hand webbing piercing in a location that will keep it from moving
excessively.
Another type of piercing for the hand is the knuckle piercing.
It’s a surface piercing located between the knuckles at the top of
the hand and base of the fingers. The finger ring piercing is
another interesting surface piercing. The jewelry is placed through
the skin on the finger so it looks like you’re wearing a ring.
These piercings are unique and enjoyable, but do not be
disappointed your body rejects the jewelry. A pierced hand is a fun
look for a special event, but movement and exposure to germs will
prevent this and other surface piercings on the hand from fully
healing.
You can also get your hand pierced in the webbing between fingers
or on the fingertip. Check out the piercing photo gallery at

inspiration you’ll find?
