Is nose piercing worth it?

The first question most people ask when they’re considering a
nose piercing is “Does it hurt?” It just seems like this
would hurt a lot worse than getting your ear pierced, doesn’t it?
The answer is, “It can hurt some, but not a lot.” Like most
piercings, it’s more like a pinch when you get it done. The key is
to find an experienced piercer who knows what he or she is doing.
Next question: Is aftercare for piercings to the nose harder than aftercare
for other piercings? Keeping the area clean while healing is under
way takes a bit more effort, but not so much that it becomes a
burden. Use cotton swabs, follow the instructions your piercer gave
you, and with perhaps five extra minutes invested each day, you’ll
be on you way to healing with no problems.
Well, it is your nose, so there’s that whole issue of when you
have a head cold, but you’d be surprised at how little that really
interferes with this piercing. Other than learning how to blow
your nose without pinching your jewelry, you don’t have to treat
your nostril any differently just because you have jewelry in it.
Is piercing your nose worth it? It’s prominent, focuses attention on
the face and is considered a great sign of beauty in many cultures.
In exchange for an extra few minutes of care every day, most people
who have one will tell you they would do it again in a heartbeat.
