Non-piercing jewelry for fun or test drives

Sometimes you just want to startle someone who doesn’t think
you’d ever get pierced – like your great-aunt at the family reunion.
Non-piercing jewelry is fun, harmless and great for a few laughs.
There are several styles available, including small rings that can
be used for ear rings, lip rings or septum rings that simply pinch
into place. This non-piercing jewelry is usually made from sterling
silver, which is soft and somewhat pliable for a comfortable,
adjustable fit.
You can also find non-piercing jewelry that includes fake tongue
balls and lip labrets. These are usually magnetic, with the flat
back a small magnet to hold the ball in place. Another option with
these is that you can try out the look of a piercing without the
commitment. Try wearing a magnetic labret for a few days to see how
comfortable it is before you actually get pierced or to see if what
your family thinks of the look.
Non-piercing jewelry is relatively inexpensive, has no healing
time or long-term commitment, and doesn’t require that you be
eighteen to wear it, so it’s also a good option for teenagers.
If you’d like to wear a belly button ring and your parents say
“Absolutely not!” compromise with them by getting some non-piercing
jewelry for your navel. You’ll get the look for less money, and
they’ll rest easier knowing you haven’t been pierced. Who knows,
they may even get so used to it they’ll go for the real thing sooner
than you thought!
