Accentuate your nostril piercing with different types of jewelry

A nostril piercing is probably the most flexible facial piercing
a person can get, and it’s very popular. While some people want a
piercing that says, “Look at me!” others may want a more understated
look that just says, “Look twice.” A nostril piercing can go either
way.
Nose studs are a type of nose jewelry that really demonstrates
how dramatic or subtle you can make your nostril piercing. A tiny
rhinestone or ball sits on the nostril and may go unnoticed by the
casual passerby. Alternately, a brightly colored shape, like a
butterfly or dolphin, brings the attention right to your piercing.
Also available are nose bones, which are straight with a bulb on
the inside, and nostril screws. Nostril screws have the stud on one
end and a bent body to fit the piercing. They look like hooks and
rest against the inside of the nostril. The look is the same from
the exterior. You can choose whatever is most comfortable for your
nostril piercing.
Captive bead rings are another way to go for your nostril
piercing. Nose bones and nose screws tend to come in a higher gauge
that captive bead rings. If you are looking for a thicker piece of
jewelry, captive bead rings are available in lower gauge sizes so
you can stretch the piercing out to the desired width.
Nostril piercing has been around for centuries. What was ritual
in other cultures has become self expression in ours. Your nose
jewelry is part of the self you choose to express by getting a
piercing.
