Belly piercing offers loads of options

A belly piercing offers tons of jewelry options because the flap
of skin usually pierced at the top of the navel is resilient and in
a position (located at the rim of the belly button itself) that
allows a wide range of jewelry options. Belly piercing jewelry
options can be discussed with your piercer at the time of your
piercing so that when you are completely healed you will know what
your individual options are.
Generally speaking, a belly piercing can take a circular barbell,
curved barbell or captive bead ring with no problem. Most belly
piercings can take these in gauges ranging from 16 to 10 gauges. You
may also be able to wear corkscrew or helix barbells at around a 14
gauge, or some really great bent doorknockers in sizes from 16 to 10
gauges.
Obviously, depending on the size of the skin flap pierced and the
condition of your piercing when it is healed this will vary
somewhat, especially as to the gauges. The depth of the piercing
itself will also somewhat affect what you can successfully put in
your belly piercing, but for range of options, you should be pretty
pleased with what there is to choose from when it comes to your
belly piercing.
