performance

Since Janet’s performance at the recent Super Bowl, there’s
understandably been increased interest in nipple rings and nipple
shields. After all, millions of people saw them for the first time
that day on national television! In fact, the Internet was
inundated with people looking for similar styles of nipple rings
over the next few days, and people wanting to learn exactly how
nipple shields worked.
The two most popular forms of nipple rings are the basic ring,
which is a hoop that goes through the flesh at the base of the
nipple with the loop hanging below much like an earring. The other
is a barbell style that goes straight through with a small ball or
bead on either end where the shaft exits the flesh. Both of these
can be made more elaborate by adding dangles or other adornments.
Nipple shields, on the other hand, go around the nipple itself,
often as a circular plate, with a barbell going through the nipple
and then the shield to hold it in place. Nipple shields can be very
fancy, set with crystals and stones and elaborately etched and
carved. There are also some that are called Nipple Huggers® that simply
squeeze around the nipple and don’t require nipple rings to hold
them in place.
One of the reasons nipple rings are so popular is the many
wearers swear that they increase sexual arousal. Many women report
that their breasts are more sensitive if they wear a nipple ring or
shield, and that their partner’s response is stronger because of the
visual appeal of nipple rings.
